  2. Dateline: Start your release with a dateline that includes the location and date of the announcement (e.g., Austin, Texas–(March 15, 2024)).
  3. Lead Paragraph: Your first paragraph should answer the essentials while naming your company as the source. Ensure it uses an objective, factual tone to capture immediate interest.
  4. Body Content: Expand on your announcement with relevant details, facts, and stats. Use clear, concise language, and structure content in a way that is easy to read, avoiding fluff and unnecessary repetition.
  5. Quotes: Include 1-2 quotes from key figures, such as the CEO or project lead, to add credibility and provide a human touch to the announcement.
  6. Boilerplate: Add a 2-3 sentence boilerplate about your company, focusing on who you are and what you do. This section should be neutral and avoid any self-promotional tone.
  7. Contact Information: Provide complete contact details, including a real person’s name, title, email, and phone number. The contact should be authorized to represent your company and answer media inquiries.

  9. Tone and Voice: Write in the third person throughout the release, avoiding the use of “I,” “we,” “you,” or similar pronouns. Maintain a neutral tone without making exaggerated or unsupported claims.
  10. Compliance: Ensure your release avoids prohibited topics, complies with all publisher guidelines, is error-free, and all claims are accurate and backed by data or verifiable sources.
